Test

IF YOUR ABILITY TO COMPLY WITH COURT ORDERS HAS BEEN AFFECTED BY COVID-19 CLOSURES,

PLEASE REVIEW THE BELOW INFORMATION

Substance Abuse Testing Message and Resources:

If you are unable to comply with your testing orders because your testing agency has closed, we will not file a probation violation.  However, it is your responsibility to resume testing immediately when your agency reopens.  This will likely require you to continue calling daily to check their status.  If you fail to resume testing when your agency reopens, that could result in violation proceedings.

You could be directed to submit to alternative testing.  For example, there is a PBT kiosk in the public entryway at the Lansing Police Department.  Those PBT’s are $2 each, and the kiosk accepts cash (exact change only or a payment of more than $2 will credit toward future tests) or credit cards.  Testing is also currently available at some local providers.

  • YOU ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY REQUIRED TO UTILIZE THESE OPTIONS.  If they are required for you, you will be contacted by a probation officer.
  • If you are directed to submit to alternative testing and you fail to comply, violation proceedings could be initiated.

If you are court ordered to submit to “substance abuse testing as requested by probation, law enforcement, testing agent, case manager, physician, or counselor” that order is still in effect.  Any of those listed people could direct you to submit to testing, and a probation violation may be issued if you fail to comply.

Online Support Group Meetings:

If you need additional support but can’t find in-person meetings, there are several options available for live, online meetings.
